Film screening of “Electric Yerevan: A Day of Violated Rights” and “From Home to Home” Documentaries was held for the journalistic group from Finland at Public Journalism Club on September 22.

24 journalists representing different media from Helsinki are in Armenia on a study visit to get acquainted with Armenia's media, political life and civil society.

The Public Journalism Club created a 30-minute film which is an eyewitness account of the incidents and developments that occurred in the morning of June 23 (2015). The film tells about the police activities to exempt the Baghramyan Avenue from the demonstrators fighting against the electricity price and the developments of that day.

The film is based on the interviews with the demonstrators and human rights defenders and the archive materials.

“From Home to Home” documentary tells about the Armenians who moved from Azerbaijan to Armenia after the Sumgait massacres in 1989 and the Azerbaijanis who moved to Azerbaijan from Armenia. They exchanged their villages and pledged not to leave their graves in the villages.

The Armenian village of Dzyunashogh and the Azerbaijani village of Kerkenj still keep their promise and keep both Azerbaijani and Armenian cemeteries in the villages.
